Kingston has just launched a device that can encrypt with AES 128 bit and automatically erase information. Meanwhile, Green House (Japan) has also introduced a flash drive integrated with biometric technology.

If someone attempts to guess the password, Kingston’s 4 GB drive will erase the files stored inside after 25 incorrect password entries. The product uses Kingston’s Data Traveler Elite Privacy Edition software.

On the other hand, Green House’s Pico Finger drive is equipped with a fingerprint sensor to prevent unauthorized access and theft of important information. The Pico Finger can also be used as a PC key. The product comes in capacities ranging from 128 MB to 1 GB, utilizes a USB 2.0 interface, measures 77 x 22 x 9 mm, weighs 17g, and will be available at the end of this month in Japan.
