The website www.vff.org.vn has been “hacked”. |
At 9:45 PM on February 28, www.vff.org.vn, the website of the Vietnam Football Federation, was attacked by hackers who disrupted the site and even took over a section to post a mocking notice directed at the website’s admin (network administrator) of the VFF online newspaper (see the image).
The website had been under continuous attack for the two days prior, and the site’s administrators attempted to “defend” it, repelling the attacks, but to no avail. The site’s content was thrown into disarray, and an image of a beautiful actress from a Korean film was inserted without permission.
The hackers criticized the admins’ ability to control and secure the site, accusing them of laziness and a lack of updates, among other things.
By noon on March 1, the network administrators of the VFF website managed to reclaim the content sections that had been taken over by the hackers. However, there is no guarantee that the website will not be attacked again, as its security remains severely inadequate.
