The venomous snake encountered a terrifying opponent, preventing it from escaping the dangerous venomous strikes.
A confrontation between two highly venomous snake species took place during the night, with the aggressive pursuer being the Malayan Krait—one of the most venomous snakes in the world. However, its victim was no lightweight either!
The victim was a MacClelland’s Coral Snake (scientific name: Sinomicrurus macclellandi)—a snake with extremely potent venom that typically inhabits East and South Asia. Despite its dangerous venom, this snake is relatively small in size (40 to 80 cm).
Both snakes in this video are relatively small.
Both snake species are nocturnal, so while foraging, the coral snake encountered its formidable foe, the Malayan Krait. The Malayan Krait quickly injected venom into its prey, causing the coral snake to convulse for a moment; however, surprisingly, the coral snake managed to struggle free and escape successfully afterward.
