The unfortunate spotted deer met a tragic end when it was drowned by a bald eagle in a lake.
While strolling along the shores of Noquebay Lake, a resident of Wisconsin named Julie Smith happened to capture the moment when a bald eagle drowned a spotted deer to feast on it.
According to Julie, as the deer was swimming along the lake’s edge in search of food, it fell within the eagle’s sights. The eagle immediately swooped down, using its sharp talons to submerge the prey beneath the waters of Noquebay Lake. Once the deer was dead, “the big bird” dragged its opponent ashore to savor its meal.
