This man is nicknamed “The Birdman.” For over 27 years, Christian Moullec has guided many vulnerable bird species on safe migratory journeys, avoiding hunters.
Christian began this work in 1990.
By teaching them to fly alongside his glider, Christian has been dedicated to this mission since 1990.
On his first flight, Christian soared with 30 barnacle geese on a journey from Sweden to Germany.
Christian’s training efforts have yielded very positive results. The birds not only remember the new migratory route, but they also teach their offspring to follow this pathway during the annual migration seasons.
Christian’s goal is to one day fly alongside 500 birds.
