A shocking video captures the moment when a king cobra is caught in the act of swallowing a lizard in Thailand.

On September 13, in Krabi Province, Thailand, a local resident was horrified to discover a giant king cobra devouring a lizard in his garden. The footage capturing this terrifying scene shocked many viewers.
In the horrifying video, the nearly 4-meter-long king cobra expands its throat to gulp down the lizard. Panya Tulyasuk, a snake-catching expert present at the scene, bravely grabbed the snake’s tail with his bare hands and carefully held its neck down, forcing the snake to regurgitate the lizard.
Since the snake appeared weak after swallowing the lizard, it did not resist and obediently allowed the rescue team to take it away. Volunteers estimated that this king cobra weighed about 15 kilograms.
Ultimately, after a daring capture, the king cobra was released back into its natural habitat.
The homeowner shared with local media: “I saw something slithering on the grass next to my house, so I used a flashlight to take a look. I was really scared when I discovered the king cobra eating the lizard. I was lucky because it had found another prey and did not attack me.”
In light of this incident, experts also warned that if residents encounter snakes or other dangerous wild reptiles, they should not attempt to catch them but should call the relevant authorities for assistance.
