After the discovery of the python, the animal rescue team arrived to capture and release it back into the wild.
The python, measuring nearly 4 meters in length, was hiding in a drainage system during the “great flood” that inundated the drains in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, on October 24.

Subsequently, the python was forced out of its hiding place and ventured onto a nearby concrete path where children were playing.
Footage shows the animal rescuers and boys lifting the python off the ground as it coiled around the stick of the rescuer. Another clip shows a child sitting on the back of the python.
One member of the rescue team stated: “The children were very excited to see the python and played with it as if it were a doll.”
It was reported that no one was injured during the incident. After measuring the python at the scene, the rescue team placed it in a sack to release it back into its natural habitat. The team also reminded the children about safety when interacting with wildlife.
