The system, developed by Viettel’s team of experts, utilizes core technology for pilot training simulation and has been transferred and distributed for the first time in Indonesia.
During the Defense & Security 2023 exhibition in Thailand on November 7, Viettel High Tech Corporation (Viettel High Tech) and PT. Bandara Praniagatama (Indonesia) signed a partnership to distribute the flight command team training simulation system and aircraft cockpit simulator from Vietnam in Indonesia for a period of two years.
The flight training simulation system has been designed to meet technical requirements for pilots, particularly in simulating real ammunition scenarios. Additionally, the system trains pilots to effectively handle various emergencies that may arise during flight—situations that cannot be safely practiced in real life. During training, pilots can connect with the flight command team training simulation system. This allows for the simultaneous training of both air and ground forces, including flight commanders and navigation teams, in a single scenario.
Information is displayed on screens simulating various weather conditions and terrains, ranging from simple to complex, enabling pilots to practice 24/7.

Mr. Nguyễn Vũ Hà, General Director of Viettel High Tech, stated that by mastering the core technology domestically, the system is capable of rapidly adapting and responding to any user requirements without relying on external partners. This ensures continuous training for the air force, guarantees pilot safety, and enhances the combat readiness of the Indonesian military.
Compared to training on actual aircraft, this system reduces costs by hundreds of times and decreases the number of operational personnel by dozens.
To date, Viettel High Tech engineers have not only successfully developed the cockpit training simulation model for the Su-30 aircraft but also the flight command team simulation, ensuring a comprehensive simulation of the entire squadron’s activities during drills. Currently, only a few countries worldwide possess the technology to simulate the Su-30 aircraft, and even they are limited to cockpit simulations.
The collaboration with Indonesia is seen as a significant advancement in the development of the export market for Vietnam’s military aircraft simulation products, expected to generate revenue in the tens of millions of USD.
PT. Bandara Praniagatama is a leading pilot training company in Indonesia and has been designated by the country’s military to seek opportunities for cooperation and training of air force personnel. According to the signed agreement, this company will distribute the flight command team training simulation system and cockpit simulator from Viettel High Tech in Indonesia.
