On November 22, in Hanoi, Vietnam and Italy signed a Cooperation Protocol on Science and Technology for the period 2005-2007 to further strengthen collaboration in various fields.
The protocol was signed during the 3rd session of the Vietnam-Italy Joint Committee on Science and Technology Cooperation, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam in cooperation with the Italian Embassy.
Twenty-one projects were agreed upon, focusing on areas such as agriculture, biotechnology, fundamental and applied sciences, energy and environment, health and wellness, as well as the preservation and restoration of ancient relics.
The two sides also jointly assessed the status of bilateral cooperation through scientific and technological collaboration projects under the 2002-2005 Protocol.
