A South Korean phone company has launched a self-defense weapon in this country that resembles a foldable mobile phone. When confronted by an attacker or held against their will, the user of this weapon simply needs to pull out the antenna that extends from the front of the device and aim it at the assailant. They can then insert a finger into the device’s cover and press a special button, causing a powerful spray of pepper spray to be released from the antenna, incapacitating the attacker with a coughing fit that makes it impossible for them to control the victim.
In addition to releasing pepper spray, the device also emits a loud alarm, drawing the attention of people in the surrounding area.
This effective self-defense weapon weighs only 40 grams and is priced at $240.
