Between 10 PM on January 4, 2006, and shortly thereafter, VietNamNet reporters noticed that the official access link to the website of the Voice of Vietnam Online Newspaper – www.vov.org.vn was redirected to another advertising website regarding web design.
The redirected advertising website from www.vov.org.vn leads to http://vov.webinvietnam.com/trade.asp, which is an advertising page for web design services and consultancy. According to the content on this advertising page, it appears to have been created in 2002, as the copyright section indicates 1997-2002. (See details in the screenshot).
As of 8 AM on January 5, 2006, the domain most recognized by users of the Voice of Vietnam on the Internet was still redirecting to the aforementioned advertising website. VietNamNet will continue to update information related to this domain issue.
