The mathematician Archimedes is famously noted for his last words before death: “Stay away from my diagram, friend!”. Archimedes was killed during the Second Punic War. According to historian Plutarch, a soldier approached Archimedes and urged him to come with him to Marcellus. However, Archimedes refused to leave until he finished solving a problem he was working on. In anger, the soldier killed Archimedes.
The last words of philosopher Karl Marx were profoundly philosophical: “Last words are for fools who haven’t said enough.”
