While traveling on a road through iSimangaliso Wetland Park in South Africa, a family of four in a car was attacked by a male elephant.
In the recorded clip, the car is seen being tossed and overturned by the elephant. A nearby driver continuously honked their horn in an attempt to stop the elephant, but the animal paid no attention to its surroundings. It continued to use its trunk to twist and overturn the vehicle.
At the scene, the Ford SUV was severely damaged, with the windshield shattered. Fortunately, all four occupants escaped unharmed, sustaining only minor injuries.
A representative from iSimangaliso Wetland Park stated that an investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the elephant’s aggressive behavior.
