A special event known as the “Lunar Mystery” affecting Uranus will last for 3.5 hours starting from 20:41 GMT on September 14.
Due to the GMT+7 time zone, Vietnamese viewers will witness the event at 3:41 AM on September 15, and due to geographical positioning, the view will not be the most optimal. The event will conclude at 00:11 GMT on September 15 (7:11 AM on September 15 in Vietnam).
According to Live Science, “Lunar Mystery” this time is a rare moment when Earth, the Moon, and Uranus align, allowing Earth’s satellite to “swallow” this mesmerizing gas giant.

To witness this “swallowing”, you will need a telescope or binoculars, as Uranus is too far away to be seen with the naked eye. The view from Europe, North Africa, and Western Asia will provide the most perfect event.
However, with the current size and brightness of the Moon, a larger area may also observe Uranus being obscured by the bright region of the Moon.
And don’t worry if you don’t have observing equipment or if your location isn’t ideal. People around the world can experience this magical moment thanks to the Virtual Telescope Project by clicking here. The live stream will connect 4 minutes after the event begins.
“Mystery” in astronomy refers to events where one object casts its shadow over another. A solar eclipse is also an example of “Lunar Mystery”.
