A supermoon refers to instances when the Moon appears larger than usual during the full moon phase, due to its coincidental movement into the area of its orbit that is 10% closer to Earth.

According to SciTech Daily, the full moon in June will occur on June 14, and there may be slight variations depending on the time zone of each region. However, over the three days from the evening of June 12 to the early morning of June 15, astronomy enthusiasts can observe the supermoon with nearly perfect roundness.
This supermoon is called the “Strawberry Supermoon” because “Strawberry Moon” is the popular name used by Western countries for the full moon in June. Additionally, it has several other sweet names: Honey Moon, Rose Moon, Planting Moon, etc. June is the peak season for strawberries, roses, and many other plants, as well as a time of high activity for honey bees and the planting season in many parts of the world.
According to the positioning by Time and Date, the Strawberry Supermoon will reach its perfect roundness in Vietnam at 6:51 PM on June 14.
This is a rare opportunity because during the summer in Vietnam, this time occurs just after sunset. The Moon rising at sunset will create a phenomenon known as the “Moon Illusion,” making it appear larger and more mystical than usual. When the Moon Illusion combines with the supermoon, it creates a truly spectacular sight.
You should observe the “Strawberry Moon Illusion” right from sunset, as the naked eye cannot distinguish the Moon’s near-perfect roundness. According to Date and Time, by 8 AM on June 14 Vietnam time, the Moon will have reached 99.7% fullness and will continue to increase until the evening.
