A video showing a US military missile striking unidentified flying objects (UFOs) but failing to bring them down has recently sparked lively discussions on the American forum Reddit.
According to the description, a group of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) was spotted and struck by a missile over the airspace of a US military base in Afghanistan, yet they managed to escape unscathed, shocking many internet users.

The Daily Mail reports that the discussion topic about UFOs on the Reddit page “The UFO subreddit” allows people to share their experiences and news related to UFO sightings.
On November 15, a Reddit user uploaded a 10-minute video. Right at the beginning, the camera focused on a flat area outside of the US military base. After zooming in on the distant mountains, viewers could see four small black dots hovering in the air.
A moment later, the lens captured a closer view of these mysterious spherical objects, which appeared to be dripping some kind of fuel from underneath. Subsequently, a short-range missile came in from the upper right corner of the screen, striking two of the hovering spheres, seemingly passing through them.
The spheres appeared to be unharmed after the attack.
Many initial viewers of the video speculated that these strange dots could be training targets or flares. However, as the footage approached the six-minute mark, the image mode switched from FLIR (a camera using thermal imaging technology) to normal view, revealing the spheres as glowing dots of various colors. These characteristics indicated they were not training targets or flares, and they moved together within a fixed spatial distance.
Bright pink, orange, purple, and yellow lights flickered and shimmered from these spheres, moving slowly and synchronously as they hovered in the air.

Many internet users left comments sharing similar experiences in Afghanistan, even stating that the spheres moved at incredible speeds, akin to beams of light.
Another user seemed to agree, replying: “I saw something like this when I was a kid in the Midwest. It looked like a meteor shooting backward as it shot up into the sky, then disappearing completely.”
This is not the first time someone has claimed to see UFOs in Afghanistan. A retired senior US Navy commander, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that he and other soldiers observed a metallic sphere in the Afghan sky in the early 2000s.
He mentioned that his observations closely resembled a video shown during a Senate hearing last year. However, he could not provide further details due to confidentiality agreements and concerns about legal repercussions.
