A man in India has fallen into a critical condition after being bitten on the leg by a king cobra.
The man was later bitten by the king cobra on the knee.
A snake catcher in southern India is fighting for his life after being bitten by a large cobra on January 30.
Specifically, Vava Suresh was called by locals to a residential area in Kottayam district, Kerala, India, to catch a king cobra.
Suresh found the aggressive reptile in a garden and attempted to put it into a sack. However, he was bitten on the knee by the king cobra.
Despite the potentially fatal injury, Suresh managed to catch the snake before tying a piece of cloth around his leg to prevent the venom from spreading. Shortly after, locals took Suresh to the hospital in critical condition.
However, doctors have reported that he is showing signs of recovery and is breathing on his own.
