The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has warned that from February 19 to 23, the Northern and North Central regions are likely to experience the strongest cold spell of the winter season so far.
The meteorological agency states, this is expected to be the coldest period of this winter. Due to the influence of cold air, many areas will see a significant drop in temperature. The midland and northern delta regions may drop below 10 degrees Celsius, while mountainous areas could experience snow and frost.
The meteorological agency recommends that <strong, during the period from February 19 to 23, people should limit outdoor activities in the cold and keep warm. Additionally, measures should be taken to shield and keep livestock, crops, and aquaculture warm.
The North is about to welcome a cold air mass causing freezing rain.

Hanoi
From February 19 to 20, Hanoi will experience rain, scattered showers, and thunderstorms in some areas. It will be very cold, with severe cold conditions. Thunderstorms may bring lightning, hail, and strong winds.

From February 23 to 25, there will be occasional rain. The cold will remain severe, transitioning to just cold weather.
Northwest Region
From February 19 to 21, the Northwest region will experience rain, scattered showers, and thunderstorms in some areas. It will be very cold, with severe cold in some places; specifically, Lai Châu and Điện Biên will experience cold weather. Thunderstorms may bring lightning, hail, and strong winds.
