In the vast world of vehicles, the Monster Chopper has emerged as a unique symbol, representing power, innovation, and the distinct personality of its owner. This bike is not just a mode of transportation; it is a statement about lifestyle and a fierce passion for motorcycles.
Behind the Monster Chopper is Grind Hard Plumbing Co, a group of young men bursting with creative ideas from Idaho, USA. Their projects exemplify extraordinary passion and the drive to turn dreams into reality.
Grind Hard Plumbing Co gained fame on YouTube over the past few years after installing a Honda CRF 230 engine into a cute pink Barbie Power Wheels drift car in 2018. These creatively obsessed young men have attracted a massive viewership with their unique creations.
Recently, they have begun working on a new project for motorcycle enthusiasts who love off-road trails: The Monster Chopper.
The Monster Chopper is a product under development.
From a humble beginning with the Honda CRF 230-powered Barbie drift car to the remarkable Monster Chopper, Grind Hard Plumbing Co’s journey has captivated audiences worldwide. The Monster Chopper is still a work in progress, continuously tested and improved by the team. Every aspect of this “beast” is meticulously considered, from engine performance to handling and overall driving experience.
If you look at the image above, you will see something resembling a Speeder soaring off the ground like in Star Wars – featuring a fork made from a lattice steel frame connected to absurdly large tires.
This vehicle is designed, cut, and welded together by the guys at Grind Hard Plumbing Co. In fact, this model uses 46-inch Mickey Thompson Baja Claw off-road tires.
Given the enormous size of the tires, they had to install a hydraulic steering system to control the vehicle smoothly and easily.
Monster Chopper combines the power of a KTM 1190 V-twin engine with large 46-inch off-road tires, a hydraulic steering system, and a custom steel tube frame.
This is clearly a massive motorcycle created from bold ideas that break all conventional rules.
Regarding power, the KTM Adventure 1190cc engine they are using produces 150 horsepower at 9,500 RPM and a peak torque of 103 Nm at 7,500 RPM. However, with a custom reduction setup and the enormous tires, this model will not be as powerful as the original KTMs. Once completed, this vehicle will weigh up to 814 lbs (369 kg).

Crafted with meticulous details, the Monster Chopper boasts a custom lattice frame reminiscent of a spaceship from a distant galaxy in a science fiction tale. The precisely welded single-sided swingarm designed by the Grind Hard team is a testament to their expertise and creativity.
Since the project began about seven months ago, the bike has taken on the rust of time – the Monster Chopper exudes a post-apocalyptic charm, reminiscent of the wasteland of Mad Max. Despite its weathered appearance, every weld and curve speaks of the craftsmanship and dedication involved in its creation.
Although the Monster Chopper attracts attention due to its massive size, it remains a project in development by the Grind Hard team. The vehicle is continuously refined and enhanced, from CAD models to precise plasma cutting.

Standing tall on Mickey Thompson Baja Claw 46-inch off-road tires, with a mere 5 psi for “better handling,” it is evident that the tires of the Monster Chopper are no less impressive than those of a real truck.
With nearly 500 videos and half a billion views on YouTube, Grind Hard Plumbing Co has solidified its position as a pioneer in the field of off-road vehicle fabrication. Each project reflects their boundless creativity and technical prowess, from the Monster Chopper to a customized Tesla adapted for off-road travel.

Despite impressive advancements, the Grind Hard Plumbing Co team faces several challenges, including optimizing the hydraulic steering system and adding functional brakes. Initial test rolls indicate that the steering capabilities, combined with the large tires and their angles, still require improvement. The Monster Chopper has the heart of the KTM Adventure 1190cc. Thanks to a special transmission setup, it produces around 150 horsepower and a peak torque of 3,000 lb-ft. While we do not yet know the exact dyno numbers, the power of this super motorcycle can indeed be quite remarkable.

The blend of creativity, skill, engineering, and a willingness to push boundaries makes this project an exciting endeavor, and many are keenly following its development. The journey from idea to riding this monster machine may be long and challenging, but it serves as proof that with dedication and perseverance, extraordinary results can be achieved.
