After the storm, fishermen in a village in the Philippines caught a giant grouper weighing 190kg.
The incident was recorded in a village in Antique province, Philippines.
In the clip, local residents are excitedly pulling the massive 190kg fish out of the sea. The fishermen had to spear the fish with a bamboo pole to lift it out of the water and bring it to the port. They believe the fish was pushed into their area by strong currents after a storm hit their province.

Fisherman Rex Vego stated, “This is the largest fish caught in my area. There was a storm the night before we caught it. Everyone is very happy to have caught it.”
Rex added that the grouper was lured onto their boat while they were fishing for tuna, and they were surprised to see such a large creature thrashing in the net.
He remarked: “We were hoping to find yellowfin tuna or blue marlin, but instead, we were astonished to see the large grouper inside the net.”
In 2019, a giant grouper weighing 176kg was also caught in the nearby town of Sebaste after getting stranded close to the shore.
