Around 10 AM on October 21, the typhoon will be in the southern Gulf of Tonkin, moving southwest at a speed of about 10 km/h and gradually weakening into a tropical depression, followed by a low-pressure area.
The influence of Typhoon No. 5 on the Gulf of Tonkin (including Cô Tô and Bạch Long Vĩ) will bring strong winds of levels 6-7, with winds near the center reaching levels 8-9, gusting to level 11, resulting in very rough seas with waves heightening to 2-4 meters.
On land, from early morning on October 20, coastal areas from Quảng Ninh to Thái Bình will experience gradually increasing winds of level 6, with gusts of level 7-8.
