After being chased away by locals throwing sandals, a cobra immediately grabbed a pink sandal in its mouth and slithered away, leaving onlookers stunned.
The video clip was shared on social media by Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan, who captioned it: “I wonder what the snake will do with the sandal?”
The footage shows a snake slithering into a residential area. Upon noticing the snake, a group of people decided to throw a rubber sandal at it. Surprisingly, the reptile immediately picked up the pink rubber sandal with its mouth and casually slithered away.
Once posted online, the clip quickly went viral, garnering nearly 300,000 views. In the comments section, some users speculated about the snake’s behavior.
“I guess it’s due to the scent of the rubber sandal; I’ve seen it happen a few times,” “Amazing, maybe the snake thought it was prey,” “So quick, so dangerous,” were some of the comments left by viewers.
