Regarded as a symbol of power in the cold northern regions, polar bears sometimes find themselves powerless when they cannot catch their prey.

A short video capturing a polar bear chasing a herd of walruses on a small island has caught the attention of the online community.
In the video, the hungry bear seems to have struck gold when it encounters a large group of walruses congregated on a small island. Immediately, it approaches and attempts to take down its prey.
As the most evolved species in the bear family according to carnivorous standards, polar bears are known for their speed, strength, agility, and ability to withstand bone-chilling cold.
However, when faced with large prey protected by thick skin, polar bears struggle, as every attack appears to be ineffective.
After a while of “fighting off multiple adversaries” among the herd of walruses, the bear helplessly watches as each of its targets escapes into the sea.
