The world’s leading search service has officially launched Gmail Mobile, a “mini” version for phones and mobile devices of the popular email service.
The software will automatically adjust its interface according to the screen size and allows users to open attachments including Word documents, PDF files, and image files.
If a phone number is saved in the Gmail contact list, users can directly make a call to respond to a message they just received.
Gmail Mobile can be installed for free at http://m.gmail.com; however, users should first check with their local mobile provider as they may charge for using the service.
On the same day, Google also announced two new features for Gmail: automatic reply and contact group categorization.
