In several video clips captured in Nanchang, footage from a classroom at Jiangxi University of Science and Technology garnered significant attention. Apartments also suffered devastating damage from the extreme weather.
To ensure safety and avoid injuries from shattered glass, teachers and some students were forced to take cover in a corner of the classroom. A faculty member later revealed that the university had promptly activated its emergency response system, evacuating students and staff to safe locations away from windows and other hazardous areas. Thanks to effective management, all students were safely returned to their dormitories without anyone being trapped or injured.
In other video segments recorded in high-rise apartment buildings and residential areas, similar scenes unfolded as strong winds and heavy rain caused destruction, smashing windows, toppling greenhouse tents, and leading to severe flooding on the streets.
