People and animals mysteriously disappear when they enter this mountain, causing everyone to only look from afar, afraid to step in.
Life is filled with many mysteries that are hard to explain, yet they continue to surround us. These enigmas always attract human curiosity. In the world, there is a majestic mountain, but it is full of secrets, famously known as the “People-Eating Mountain.”
The mysterious mountain that makes people only dare to look from afar.
This mountain is very familiar, known as Mount Kunlun in China. Mount Kunlun, also referred to as Kunlun Mountain, is often mentioned in martial arts films and is believed to be a place of cultivation for immortals. This mountain is considered one of the most mysterious places in the world.
The Death Valley in the Kunlun Mountain Range, also known as Kunlun Death Valley (Narin Gol Gorge), is filled with many legends that instill fear in those who hear them.
Among these is a story from 1983. At that time, a shepherd was grazing his horses in this area, but no one saw him come out.
Local residents gathered to search for him. Eventually, they discovered the shepherd dead, his clothing torn and his face filled with terror. Since then, no one has dared to enter this mountain again; they believe it is haunted, which explains the strange occurrences.
Not believing in baseless claims, a group of geologists from Xinjiang conducted research in the area to uncover the truth.
During their investigation, the experts discovered that this land possesses a strong magnetic field, and its range is quite extensive. The deeper one goes into the valley, the stronger the magnetic field becomes.
The intensity of the magnetic field here is significantly higher than in normal areas, capable of “collecting” and amplifying electrical charges from thunderstorm clouds, causing frequent lightning discharges. The bottom layer of the valley, situated in the middle of the Narin Gol River, is composed of highly magnetic basalt rock, further enhancing the occurrence of lightning.
This strong geomagnetic reaction can easily cause friction with charged clouds in the sky, resulting in discharge phenomena. Scientists believe this is the main reason why the Death Valley in the Kunlun Mountain Range has become a “natural minefield.” Objects struck by lightning are usually moving entities. However, what is puzzling is that the lightning here often appears in a bright red color, which is entirely different from the normal color of lightning. According to scientific research theories, the color of lightning changes with temperature and humidity in the atmosphere, but why the lightning in Kunlun Death Valley is always red remains an unsolved mystery.
Faced with the mysteries of Death Valley in the Kunlun Mountain Range, scientists have never stopped exploring. They gradually reveal some secrets of Death Valley through various means such as field investigations, data analysis, and experimental verification. However, the power of science is still limited, and some phenomena cannot yet be fully explained by existing theories.
