The leading Indian jewelry manufacturer, SWA Diamonds, has achieved a Guinness World Record for the title of “the ring with the most diamonds set.”
The ring, produced in Malappuram district, Kerala, is inspired by the pink oyster mushroom, symbolizing eternity. It sparkles with a total of 24,679 diamonds of various sizes set on the ring.
The ring with the most diamonds.
Abdul Gafur Anadiyan, the CEO of SWA Diamonds, stated: “The mushroom symbolizes immortality and longevity. We named this special ring ‘Ami,’ which means immortality in Sanskrit. The world record ring resonates, drawing people’s attention to us. It is our privilege and honor that this ring is made in India and that its owner is also Indian.“
To achieve the desired design, artisans first created a prototype using a plastic mold, which was then digitally modified. Liquid gold was poured into the mold, allowed to cool, and then shaped into the overall design of 41 unique mushroom petals. Each diamond on the ring was hand-set using entirely natural diamonds.
To complete the creation of the ring with the most diamonds, the craftsmen worked tirelessly for 90 days.
Abdul Gafur Anadiyan added: “A team of qualified independent diamond and jewelry experts evaluated the ring at IGI, the International Gemological Institute’s laboratory. They used a microscope to accurately count the number of diamonds and assess, confirm the clarity, carat weight, cut style, and type of diamonds used.”
The previous record was held by a ring set with 12,638 diamonds, established in 2020.
SWA Diamonds is a brand owned by Capestone, one of the largest manufacturers of gold, diamond, and platinum jewelry in India, founded in 2019.
