During the demolition of a construction site, the construction team discovered an ancient jar containing hundreds of intact “artifacts,” estimated to be worth tens of billions of Vietnamese Dong.
A few years ago, while demolishing the Cressoni Theater in Italy, the workers found a jar filled with hundreds of gold coins still intact. Immediately, the demolition work was halted to allow the relevant authorities to excavate and examine the site.

“Gold Coin Jar” was later transferred to a research facility in Milan for scientific analysis. Experts consider it a “treasure” for archaeology and a remarkable discovery. It is estimated to be worth several million euros, amounting to tens of billions of Vietnamese Dong.
This significant find, which included 300 coins and a gold bar, has led both local residents and experts to speculate about their origins. Grazia Facchinetti, a coin researcher, believes they may have belonged to a bank.
“The coins were stacked in piles similar to how banks do today. All of this leads us to believe that their owner was not an individual, but rather a bank or credit union,” Ms. Facchinetti stated. She also noted that based on the engravings on the coins, they could not have been created before the year 474 AD.
The Cressoni Theater opened in 1870 and later became a cinema until it ceased operations in 1997.
