According to the Hanoi Urban Railway Project Management Board (MRB), the Nhon – Hanoi Metro Line is designed not only to serve transportation needs but also to be a landscape and architectural highlight for the western area of the city.
Among them, the 8 elevated stations have similar architectural styles, yet differ in decorative details. The image shown is the mural at S1 Station (Nhon). S2 Station (Minh Khai) features images of gears symbolizing the Tu Liem Industrial Cluster located next to the station.
S3 Station (Phu Dien) uses plant motifs, reminding visitors that this area is known for pomelo and many other fruit trees.
S4 Station (Cau Dien) is located near the Nhue River and features water motifs.
S5 Station (Le Duc Tho) showcases an image of a pole vaulting athlete, reminding passengers that a stadium and the My Dinh Sports Complex are nearby.
S6 Station (National University) features images of various languages, symbolizing the languages taught at the University of Foreign Languages (National University of Hanoi).
S7 Station (Chua Ha) features an image of a traditional Vietnamese temple.
S8 Station (Cau Giay) is located next to the Thule Zoo and is designed with images of wild animals.
According to representatives from the Urban Railway Project Management Board, each elevated station is uniquely designed to promote and honor the culture of the locality. The design patterns for each station have been approved along with the overall project design documents.
