In the coming hours, thunderstorms are expected to continue developing, leading to rain showers and thunderstorms in the aforementioned districts, with possible expansion to neighboring areas. Rainfall is forecasted to range from 5 to 20 mm, with some areas experiencing over 20 mm. During thunderstorms, precautions should be taken against whirlwinds, hail, and strong gusts of wind reaching levels 5 to 7 (8-17 m/s).
According to this agency, a low-pressure trough linked to a hot low-pressure area in the west, located around 24-27 degrees north latitude, is being pushed southward by a weak cold high-pressure system from the north, combined with wind convergence in northeastern regions.
At higher altitudes, a subtropical high-pressure system is extending westward, with its axis gradually moving northward over the Southern region. Simultaneously, a disturbance is forming over the waters off the southern coast of the East Sea, moving westward (near the coastal provinces of the Southwestern region). In the offshore waters of the Southern region, the southwest winds are of moderate intensity.
Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region are expected to experience increased rainfall in the evening, with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms at night. During thunderstorms, residents should be cautious of whirlwinds, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
