An Mysterious Tomb Discovered in Israel, Featuring a Sinister Warning Sign. To this day, archaeologists have yet to dare explore this tomb.
Archaeologists have recently uncovered a tomb in Beit She’arim, Israel, within a small cave in an ancient cemetery. This small cave is part of a larger cave system, which has been known for a year, but the smaller cave was only recently discovered.
This is the first tomb found in 65 years in this UNESCO World Heritage site.
However, the discovery of an ancient structure does not mean that it can be studied immediately. The chilling warning written on a stone slab at the tomb, in a blood-red color, has made everyone uneasy.

The warning reads: “Yaakov Ha’Ger swears to curse anyone who opens this tomb, so that no one will open it. 60 years old.” Perhaps “60 years old” refers to the age at which the individual named Yaakov Ha’Ger passed away.
Adi Erlich, one of the archaeologists from the University of Haifa, Israel, explained that the curse was inscribed to ensure that the resting place of the deceased would remain undisturbed forever. According to the archaeological team, the slab has been there for about 1,800 years.
Scientists believe that exploring the tomb could provide them with valuable information about ancient beliefs and lifestyles. However, the archaeological team has not yet dared to open the tomb because they think it is better to respect the wishes of the deceased.

Mrs. Erlich stated: “For now, we must block the cave containing the tomb, excavate nothing, and only hand the warning slab over to the Israeli Antiquities Authority (IAA).”
