With the help of its peers, the lion that was unexpectedly attacked by a buffalo made an incredible turnaround.
The buffalo charges at the male lion.
While resting in a bush in Kruger National Park, South Africa, a buffalo was approached by a male lion.
Realizing the danger, the buffalo immediately sprang to its feet. However, upon discovering that the enemy was alone, it decided to charge and attack. In an instant, the lion transformed from the hunter to the prey.
A moment later, two other male lions appeared, changing the dynamics of the encounter. Taking advantage of the buffalo’s moment of inattention, one lion leaped onto its back and bit into its flank. As the prey began to weaken, two younger lions rushed in to bring the opponent down to the ground.
