Daily Mail recently reported that a young man fell into a melting furnace, with molten aluminum reaching up to his knees. Despite the pain, he managed to pull himself up to escape the furnace.
The incident occurred on the evening of November 9 (local time) while he was working. Medical personnel quickly arrived at the factory to assist the victim (identity not disclosed). The victim was later airlifted to the hospital with severe burns.
The St. Gallen police are investigating the cause of the incident. This is not the first time a serious accident has occurred at a factory.

Earlier this year, a packaging company pleaded guilty to violating occupational health and safety laws after an elderly employee had his hand severed in an industrial accident.
The individual, identified as Christopher Wright (59 years old), was taken to the hospital with his hand in ice, where doctors reattached it during an 11-hour surgery.
Mr. Wright’s company was fined $136,000 for violating occupational health and safety laws.

The accident occurred two years ago while Engineer Wright was working, when his hand was pulled into a machine. The company has been identified as Riftward Limited, located in Wrexham – Wales.
In a similar incident that same year, a young girl was severely injured after her right hand was pulled into a rolling machine at the Pacific Salt factory in Whyalla – South Australia, on April 17, 2020.
