The scene of the Halla Airlines plane crash on July 11 left many people shocked.
Authorities reported that on July 11, a passenger aircraft experienced a horrific accident while carrying approximately 30 passengers and 4 crew members.
According to the flight plan, the aircraft belonging to Halla Airlines was scheduled to fly from Garowe, northern Somalia, and land at Mogadishu International Airport at around 12:30 PM local time.
The plane skidded out of control on the runway and collided with a barrier.
However, at the moment the aircraft landed, it unexpectedly veered off the runway, became uncontrollable, and crashed into the barrier, causing debris to fly into the air and suffering severe damage, with the cockpit nearly severed.
Despite the serious incident, fortunately, all 34 passengers and crew members on board survived, with only about 11 people sustaining injuries after the crash.
Commenting on this aviation incident, the Somalia Civil Aviation Authority stated: “There were no fatalities in the accident, except for some minor injuries.”
The front of the plane was nearly severed from the fuselage.
The Halla Airlines plane was heavily distorted after the violent impact during landing.
According to authorities, although the cause of this accident has not been determined, an official shared with the media that initial signs of the incident indicate some fault on the part of the aircraft’s pilot.
“The truth will be established after the cockpit voice recorder and black box are analyzed.” – the unnamed official stated.
