American Company Terra Moya Aqua (TMA) has recently invented a new vertical wind turbine that significantly enhances operational efficiency compared to traditional blade designs.
On November 5th, company officials introduced the new turbine and stated that the design has attracted interest from many customers in the United States and other countries. Ron Taylor, the CEO of TMA, remarked: “There are already many customers eager to purchase this turbine.”
TMA reported that traditional blade wind turbines convert only 25% to 40% of wind energy into electrical energy. However, TMA’s new turbine design achieves a conversion efficiency of 43% to 45%, and with the same wind speed, it can generate up to 80% more electricity compared to the older turbine models.
This electricity is generated even when the turbine blades are rotating very slowly, making the turbine quieter and less hazardous to wildlife. Additionally, because their height does not exceed 30 meters, these turbines can be installed in areas where traditional tall wind turbines cannot be set up.
Jim Geringer, a board member of TMA, indicated that this new turbine design will help convince those who remain skeptical about the potential of wind energy.
