Surrounded by 9 dogs and attacked, a 4-meter king cobra had to climb a tree to escape.
Tanee Sathee, 59 years old, discovered a large king cobra hiding under the base of a young durian tree in Chanthaburi Province, Thailand.
At that moment, aggressive dogs surrounded the venomous snake and charged at the intruder. After sustaining several bites, the snake fled up a nearby tree. Tanee had to call in wildlife rescue personnel for assistance.
Due to multiple bite wounds, the snake was taken to a local reptile center.
The rescue team quickly arrived at the orchard with steel hooks and a blue plastic box to capture the aggressive snake. When pulled from the tree, the snake attempted to attack the rescue personnel. However, thanks to their extensive experience, they quickly captured the creature using only their bare hands. Due to multiple bite wounds, the snake was taken to a local reptile center.
Cobras are a group of venomous snakes belonging to the family Elapidae, distributed from southern Africa to South Asia and the islands of Southeast Asia. Their venom typically contains neurotoxins that help incapacitate prey such as small mammals, birds, lizards, and other snakes. Most cobra species can expand their necks when threatened.
