Seeing a king cobra lunging at their bike, two young men were terrified and immediately abandoned their bicycle to flee.
The incident occurred on a road in Telangana, India.
A snake bursts out of the bushes and charges directly at the bike.
Specifically, while riding their bicycles, the two young men were suddenly confronted by a snake that darted out from the bushes and lunged straight at them. Startled, both quickly jumped off their bikes and ran away in fear. Meanwhile, the snake became entangled in the spokes of the front wheel.
According to local sources, the snake that attacked the two young men is believed to be a king cobra. Fortunately, neither of them was injured, but some parts of the bicycle were damaged.
The king cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) is primarily found in tropical forest regions from India to Southeast Asia. It is the longest venomous snake in the world, reaching lengths of up to 7 meters. They primarily feed on other snakes and small vertebrates such as lizards and rodents.
The amount of venom released in a single bite can be lethal to 20 adult humans or kill an adult elephant within a few hours.
