Mr. Ki-Tae Lee, the chairman of Samsung Telecommunications Networks, has every reason to be excited about this new invention. Samsung’s philosophy is to “Add more ‘dots’ to the camera to grow the mobile phone market.” This is also why, prior to the SPH-V8200, Samsung launched a phone model featuring a powerful 7-megapixel camera.
With a resolution of 8 megapixels, this new device will deliver image quality comparable to that of top-tier digital cameras. Utilizing WCDMA technology, the SPH-V8200 is set to hit the South Korean market in November.
Aside from its “astonishing” resolution, there is still limited information available about this high-end device. However, its design will likely be very different from its 7-megapixel sibling, the SCH-V770, which bears some resemblance to the multimedia smartphone SGH-i300 3GB that Mr. Ki-Tae Lee announced just moments earlier.
