When caught in the trap of a redback spider, the snake can only frantically struggle in vain to escape.
A video posted by a woman named Carmel Munro from Vinifera, Australia, captures the chilling scene of a venomous spider setting a trap to kill a snake in a shed.

It is evident that snakes are among the most terrifying creatures that haunt humans, primarily due to their venom. However, the snake in this clip is completely helpless when caught in the trap of a giant venomous spider. Despite its frantic struggles, it cannot escape the web. Meanwhile, the large spider is determined not to let its prey escape. In the end, it injects lethal venom directly into the snake’s body.
Reportedly, this venomous spider is the redback spider, one of the most dangerous spider species on the planet. Horrifyingly, their preferred habitat is close to human dwellings.
The redback spider (scientific name: Latrodectus hasseltii) is a member of the Latrodectus genus, known as widow spiders, and is classified as one of the most dangerous spiders in Australia (according to the Australian Museum).
This classification is due to the fact that the redback spider possesses neurotoxic venom, which can lead to death within 24 hours if antivenom is not administered. The female redback spider is particularly feared.
The female redback spider can be easily identified by its black back and distinctive red stripe. They typically prey on large insects, but their “menu” can also include small birds and lizards.
Redback spiders are nocturnal and prefer shaded areas. Their venom can cause extreme pain, nausea, vomiting, headaches, and agitation.
