The small fan attached to pets helps them feel less hot during the summer weather in Japan.
Japan is one of the countries with advanced scientific knowledge, being a pioneer in applying the latest technologies to everyday life with unique, innovative, and creative designs.
Recently, a clothing manufacturer in Tokyo collaborated with veterinarians to create a special small fan designed specifically for pets during the hot summer in Japan.
Special small fan designed for pets
This unique device helps pet owners worry less about their pets during the sweltering summer weather. The device includes a fan weighing about 80 grams powered by batteries, which attaches to a mesh outfit and blows air around the pet’s body.
Rei Uzawa, the president of the clothing manufacturing company, stated that she found the motivation to create this unique device after witnessing her family’s chihuahua struggling with exhaustion every time it was taken outside in the intense summer heat.
Rei Uzawa said: “This year, there has been almost no rain, and the hot days have come early and lasted long. We developed a product specifically for pets that suits the market.”
The device comes in 5 different sizes and costs about 74 USD.
After the rainy season in Tokyo ended in late June, the Japanese capital has endured the longest heatwave on record, with temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius for 9 consecutive days.
Mami Kumamoto, 48, the owner of a dog named Pudding and a hunting dog named Maco, shared that: “I usually use ice packs to keep my dogs cool. But I think taking them for walks will be easier with this new device.”
Although it has only been on the market for less than a month, the company has received about 100 orders. Rei Uzawa mentioned that the device comes in 5 different sizes and is priced at approximately 74 USD.
This is not the only interesting and unique device from Japan that has garnered attention this year. In February 2022, a group of high school students in Japan won an innovation contest by creating a high-tech device that evenly divides pizza into equal parts without any deviation.
Inspired by the fierce family battles over the last remaining slice, a group of three students from Kundong High School invented a device that can cut round cakes and pizzas evenly, regardless of how many slices are cut. After sharing on social media, the online community enthusiastically supported their invention.
