From Above, Comfort Town (Ukraine) Looks Like a Fairytale Toy Kingdom.
Comfort Town is located on the outskirts of Kiev, Ukraine. It has gained fame and stands out from many other small towns due to its unique design. The construction and painting project of Comfort Town was completed in 2019. In stark contrast to the dull gray buildings surrounding it, Comfort is vibrant with brightly painted structures from windows to rooftops. Each building boasts its own distinct color, such as red, purple, green, pink, orange, and bright yellow. As a result, they resemble a colorful array of children’s Lego blocks.
The aim of transforming Comfort into a “toy kingdom” is to attract residents to settle here.
To create this Lego town, architects and engineers spent 11 years designing it, especially considering the limited budget. This creative project was led by architects Dmytro Vasyliev, Aleksandr Popov, and Olga Alfiorova from the company Archimatika. The goal of transforming Comfort into a “toy kingdom” was not to attract tourists but to encourage residents to settle here. Spanning half a million square meters, the town has indeed succeeded in finding residents.

The toy-like colorful buildings have attracted home buyers. In 2020, Comfort sold an average of 200 apartments per month. Currently, the town has a total of over 20,000 residents.
Comfort has now become a popular tourist destination, exceeding the initial expectations of the authorities.
In this Lego town, residents have access to a full range of modern facilities. Each building contains office spaces, cafes, and shops on the lower floors, with apartments above. Green spaces are also emphasized, featuring numerous squares, parks, and outdoor sports centers. Not only does Comfort provide a beautiful and convenient living space for its residents, but it has also become a famous tourist destination, attracting visitors whenever they come to Kiev.
Apartments in Comfort are now sold out; they are not available just by wanting to buy.
