SpaceX Flight Passengers Will Have a Great Experience, Even in the Restroom.
According to Insider, the crew on the first civilian flight around the Earth will experience what is described as the “most beautiful restroom in history.”
Mr. Jared Isaacman, CEO of Shift4 Payments, will lead the crew aboard the Crew Dragon spacecraft on this multi-day journey.
In a press release, Mr. Isaacman mentioned that while using the restroom, they can look out the window and see the universe. Currently, details about the restroom facilities on the SpaceX Crew Dragon have not been disclosed. However, based on the prototype, experts believe the restroom area will be located in the glass dome at the top of the spacecraft.

“It will be the first space restroom with a 360-degree view,” Insider reported.
Both SpaceX and NASA have declined to provide information about the restroom on the Crew Dragon. However, NASA astronaut Doug Hurley—who previously took the Dragon crew to the International Space Station last year—shared that the restroom works well and is quite similar to the version on the space shuttle.
The crew aboard the Crew Dragon will undertake the Inspiration4 mission, launching from SpaceX’s Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida in the fourth quarter of 2021. The earliest expected launch date is September 15.
The team plans to orbit the Earth at an altitude higher than the International Space Station (ISS) for three days. The crew will enjoy the views and conduct scientific experiments…
This will be the first orbital flight without professional astronauts on board. Ticket prices have not yet been disclosed, but NASA estimates that this mission could cost around $55 million per seat.
Currently, Isaacman is collaborating with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to plan scientific experiments for the crew to conduct while in orbit. Crew members will also perform some experiments to help NASA collect data on how cosmic light affects the human body.
