Specifically, the footage was recorded on June 5th at a residence in Nashik district, Maharashtra, India. In the clip, the house dog is seen lying on the wall when it spots an intruder entering the residential area. Immediately, it attempts to flee to avoid confronting the wild leopard. However, despite its efforts to escape, the dog is still caught by the leopard and dragged away.
A spokesperson from the forestry department urged local residents to “stay indoors at night” due to the increased activity of wild leopards.
