A Pitbull Dog Catches a Lizard in Its Owner’s Yard.
The incident was recorded on November 18 at a residential home in Nonthaburi Province, Thailand.
In the clip, a Pitbull named Isa is attempting to pull a large lizard down from a tree to the ground.
Aun Lampo, the dog’s owner, stated: “The lizard lives in the pond in my garden. The dog and the lizard know each other, but when the dog saw the lizard watching it and then entering the yard, the dog rushed out to attack. The dog wagged its tail and bit the lizard to make it leave.”
Aun added: “It is a very helpful dog. It protects us very well, so I always feel safe.”
Asian Water Monitors typically inhabit canals, swamps, drains, and ponds in urban areas of Thailand. They feed on fish, snakes, frogs, and leftover food left by humans.
This reptile can be quite aggressive when threatened, and its bite has mild venom, sometimes carrying harmful bacteria.
