Recently, a video featuring a cockroach unexpectedly appearing on an airplane window in China has captured the attention of internet users.
According to local newspaper Jimu News, a female passenger named Guo, traveling on a flight from Ningbo, Zhejiang to Xishuangbanna, Yunnan on August 16, discovered a large cockroach at the window next to her seat.
Ms. Guo thought the cockroach would only linger there for a few minutes, so she did not report this unexpected visitor to any flight attendants.
“I was surprised to find that the cockroach was still there after the plane had traveled 3,000 kilometers. But I didn’t know if it was outside or inside the window,” Ms. Guo stated.
In the recorded video, the cockroach can be seen wriggling up and down as the airplane flies above the clouds.

While it is unclear which airline Ms. Guo was flying with, Jimu News reported that a representative from the airline confirmed that the cockroach in the video was crawling between the layers of the window glass.
Staff suggested that the cockroach may have been in the cargo hold or passenger luggage before sneaking into the window.
In an interview published by Boiling Point Videos, Ms. Guo described the cockroach as “very interesting” and spent the entire flight observing this unexpected guest.
The video of the “immortal” cockroach has garnered over 120 million views on Chinese social media, with many users expressing excitement over the incident.
