Specifically, after a calf fell into a well used for irrigation, local residents alerted the authorities. An excavator was dispatched promptly to rescue the animal.
However, the presence of the unfamiliar machine caused the mother elephant to panic. She charged at the excavator to protect her calf. After several attempts to push the machine away with her trunk, the mother elephant quickly realized it was not a suitable opponent and reluctantly gave up. Although she ran away, the mother elephant remained at a distance to observe the rescue operation.

The excavator operator then destroyed part of the well’s wall, creating an opening for the calf to escape. Despite her fear, the calf climbed up and managed to get out of the well amidst the cheers of the onlookers.
It reunited with its mother on solid ground, fortunately unharmed. Authorities speculate that the calf slipped and fell into the well while trying to drink water.
