A mother in Australia was left terrified after discovering strange sacs hanging from a tree in her backyard.
Ashlee found six unusual sacs hanging from a palm tree near her home’s swimming pool. She quickly took a picture and posted it on Facebook, hoping someone could help her identify what they were. However, she was shocked to uncover the surprising truth.
These sacs contained spider eggs, and inside each sac were 600 baby spiders. Concerned for the safety of her two young daughters, she considered cutting down the palm tree.

She told Yahoo News: “The palm branch is high up and next to the pool, leading to my clothesline. I just happened to look up. I am very afraid of spiders, and I had a feeling it was a spider, but they looked too big. Honestly, I wanted to cut down the tree because I have two little girls under two years old.”
Fortunately for Ashlee, the bite of the Magnificent spider is not venomous. They pose no threat to humans and primarily hunt at night.
According to information from the Australian Museum, female Magnificent spiders have distinctive markings, with white coloring, two bright yellow knobs on their abdomen, and some black and salmon-colored spots. Their bodies and limbs are covered with long, fine hairs.
Despite their odd appearance, Magnificent spiders are not a threat to humans and even play an interesting role in the ecosystem as predators.
