Deepest Underwater Model Pose
On a beautiful sunny day in early December 2023, Kim Bruneau (38, Canadian) dived off the coast of Nassau, Bahamas, setting a new Guinness World Record for the deepest underwater model pose. During the dive, Bruneau removed her oxygen tank and mask, holding her breath while photographer Pia Oyarzun captured her poses.
The team took photos at a depth of nearly 40 meters for 9 minutes. Posing at that depth without a mask or snorkel is a significant challenge. Afterward, they began to ascend, stopping at various depths to continue photographing. In total, they spent 37 minutes shooting images.

From being a non-diver, Bruneau found her way to this sport, feeling much pain dissipate each time she entered the water. Her stunning photo series came after her “battle” with infertility. While undergoing treatment, she began scuba diving. Despite her worries about infertility, Bruneau never felt stressed while underwater.
She opened up: “I think part of the reason I got pregnant is because I started diving. I tried many methods to treat infertility, from Chinese herbs to acupuncture. I did everything to help myself relax, but it didn’t work. When I dive, I feel so free. It’s a different world. It’s so unique that I don’t have time to think about the stresses of life.”
This determined woman eventually gave birth to a daughter named Ella. She hadn’t dived for a year and a half before deciding with photographer Oyarzun to set the world record. The photoshoot serves as a tribute to Bruneau’s journey through infertility and will inspire others.
91-Year-Old Woman Runs 200m in Under 1 Minute
Italian senior Emma Maria Mazzenga broke the running record in the over-90 age category, achieving a time of 54.47 seconds in the 200m indoor event at the Masters Championship held in Veneto. This remarkable result is astonishing, as the 91-year-old recently suffered a fractured sternum and only began training a month before the competition on January 14, 2024.

Mazzenga’s time was 5 seconds faster than the previous record set by legend Olga Kotelko, which had stood for 13 years. The secret to her success, she describes, is simply “never stop.” Every morning, Mazzenga walks with a friend, interspersing cycling with walking and running. Despite setting a world record, she remains humble and confident that she can achieve even faster times in upcoming races.

Srivastava shares that she hasn’t cut her hair since she was 14 years old, inspired by the long hairstyles of Indian actresses from the 1980s. She typically washes her hair twice a week, with each session involving all aspects of washing, drying, detangling, and styling, taking up to 3 hours. The Guinness World Record holder states that she has no plans to cut her hair in the near future and will take care to keep it as long as possible. “I will not cut my hair because my life is in my hair… I want my hair to grow longer and see how long I can keep it,” Srivastava said.
Srivastava reveals that whenever she appears in public with her flowing locks, she attracts a lot of attention. “People come close, touch my hair, take photos with me. They often ask about the hair care products I use because my hair looks beautiful. I’ve shared my experiences, and many expressed their intention to follow suit to achieve healthy hair,” Srivastava recounts.
