The startup company SealVans has introduced two advanced amphibious caravan models that blend the features of a vehicle and a boat, capable of operating both on land and in water.
After successfully creating a range of prototypes last year, SealVans is launching its amphibious caravan version in the European market. Named Seal 4.20m and Seal 7.50m, these models offer a unique solution for families wanting to explore both sea and land without needing to switch between different modes of transportation, New Atlas reported on July 4.

SealVans models can function as traditional caravans on land or fully-functional boats, depending on the intended use. Unlike many other amphibious vehicles, SealVans transitions between land and water without needing additional modifications or complex processes. According to the company, one of the main focuses in designing SealVans was to provide easy transport on both land and water. This hybrid caravan-boat can meet the basic needs of its passengers.
The primary differences between the two versions lie in size and level of completion. The Seal 4.20m is the compact model, weighing less than 750 kg. This vehicle is specifically designed for short trips. Due to its small size, it is an ideal option for two adults and may not require a license to operate on water, depending on local regulations.
The Seal 7.50m version is designed for family vacations, accommodating 3 adults or a family of 2 adults and 2 children. This model resembles a two-axle caravan on land, equipped with a panoramic windshield and a roof. The vehicle transforms into a boat on the water, offering users a unique experience. The amphibious caravan also includes a kitchen, shower bathroom, a main bed, and a secondary bed. It has a maximum weight of 3,000 kg and an interior height of 2 m. The Seal 7.50m operates with a 50-horsepower Honda motor and an electric propulsion system, achieving a maximum speed of 24 km/h.
