Embraer’s AI Passenger Aircraft is Designed for Fully Automated Flight Without a Traditional Cockpit.
Fully Automated Private Jet Design was unveiled by aerospace company Embraer, representing a breakthrough for the future, according to Sun. The company has collaborated with Bombardier to present a vision of an AI-driven business jet. At the National Business Aviation Association event in Orlando, Florida, Embraer announced plans to produce a mid-range AI aircraft model.

The new aircraft features a cabin divided into three zones with spacious seating and touch screen windows. The vehicle is also designed to operate entirely on sustainable fuel. The engines are stacked on top of each other rather than located on the wings, featuring three air intakes: one on top of the fuselage and two on the sides. The model also incorporates a V-tail design never before seen in business jets and is configured with two turbofan engines located at the rear.
“This design represents a fully automated aircraft that does not require a cockpit and features a new cabin layout that resembles a lounge at the front. Sustainability is at the core of this aircraft, utilizing green propulsion technology based on Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), electrification, and hydrogen“, Embraer stated. However, the company did not disclose plans for the development and production of the aircraft model.
Several other aviation companies are also developing similar AI business jet vehicles, including Cirrus and HondaJet, which offer automated flight capabilities in emergencies if the pilot encounters issues and cannot land the aircraft.
